Robert
J. Grant is
the author of five books including Edgar Cayce
on Angels, Archangels, and the Unseen Forces;
The Place We Call Home-Exploring the Soul’s
Existence After Death; Universe of Worlds;
and The Magdalene Diaries. Robert (Rob)
has spent more than 25 years studying the psychic
readings of the famed seer, Edgar Cayce (“The
Sleeping Prophet”). His book on angels was
the first to explore Cayce’s awe-inspiring
readings on this fascinating subject. Rob’s
third book, The Place We Call Home, has
become a bestseller. In the Forward to the book,
psychiatrist and author George G. Ritchie, Jr.,
M.D. (Return from Tomorrow), wrote “[The
Place We Call Home] is the handbook we all
need to prepare us for the realms to come after
death.”
A
popular speaker, Rob has shared the platform with
noted near-death experience researchers, including
Raymond Moody, MD (author of the best-selling Life
After Life), George Ritchie, MD; Kimberly Clark-Sharp
(NDE survivor and author of After the Light),
and P.M.H. Atwater. |
He
has also shared the platform with authors John Edwards,
James Van Praauge; Dorothy MacLean; Brian Weiss, MD; Gregg
Braden; Marianne Williamson, and Dr. Barbara King.
Rob was one of the five-member team tasked to computerize
the entire collection of 14,306 psychic readings given
by Edgar Cayce. As a result of that five-year undertaking,
he has emerged as one of the leading authorities on Edgar
Cayce’s life and work.
His
latest book, The Magdalene Diaries, published
by ARE Press in 2005, has become a bestseller. Although
classified as fiction, the author said the material was
drawn from Cayce’s readings on Mary Magdalene. He
also says the content of the book “came through”
him using “inspirational writing.”
“It was like listening to Mary Magdalene tell her
own story in her own words,” the author said. Reviews
of the book have been positive:
“The Magdalene Diaries…vividly walks
us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
in the voice of Mary Magdalene…the retelling of
this familiar story from the viewpoint of Mary Magdalene
makes this book both familiar and also fresh and vibrant.”
(Kathy Briar, Point of Light magazine)
Rob was also featured in the NBC television special Ancient
Prophecies, which introduced the Edgar Cayce story to
13.5 million viewers in April 1995. He is also featured
in the award-winning film documentary, Edgar Cayce—The
Beautiful Dreamer (available on VHS/DVD). The author
resides in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
